The Imagine Project of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC, Brazil) and the University of Bordeaux (UB, France) started in 2021 an innovative educational program that aims at offering to the future generations of scientists and graduated professionals a more comprehensive, ethical and socially engaged training, which will ultimately help them to face and overcome current and future global challenges.
After the Covid-19 pandemic and for the years to come, university education will occur under a wide variety of social, health and technological contexts, where working together while being apart will be increasingly common.
Academic mobility will be enhanced through international online courses that will connect students and professors from different countries, thus promoting multicultural, inclusive and collaborative learning.
In view of this perspective, the Imagine Center for Science Popularization of UFSC and the College of Sciences & Technologies of the UB, with the support of more than a dozen international institutions, have created the course IMAGINE Virtual Exchange: The Languages of Science, which is taught online and in English at the same time to both UB and UFSC students.
The course has had its 1st edition in 2021 and it’s going to be offered again in September, 2022.
